Farmers' Markets

A farmers' market is a market in which farmers, growers and producers from a defined local area are present in person to sell their own produce, direct to the public. All products sold should have been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed by the stallholder.

We have over a dozen such markets in Greater Manchester, which you can find by using the map to the right, or by visiting the events calendar.

If you would like more information about farmers' markets in general, we recommend visiting the FARMA website, the National Farmers' Retail and Markets Association: an organisation that was set up to represent farmers and organisations such as farmers markets and farm shops selling their produce directly to consumers.
